In 2012 the National Maritime Museum opened its exciting new
archive facilities with exhibition spaces designed to increase public
access to its extensive and world-renowned archives and collections.
These collections are rich in hidden histories, curious tales and
are unique in supporting knowledge and understanding of
contemporary Britain and the global Maritime histories that
have shaped the world we live in today.
This is an opportunity for you to have a central role in bringing
this archive of hidden treasures to life, developing fresh and
imaginative ways to inspire diverse audiences.
You will have a real passion for engaging people in archives and
their stories. Your creativity will be essential in developing
participation through an innovative public programme for all
ages and levels of ability.
Experience of working with archives and developing public
programmes, along with outstanding communication skills, are
essential for this role.
