Our spring workshop programme officially begins TOMORROW!
There are 20 workshops in the programme, some you may already know about and a couple of others (detailed below) including a BRAND NEW workshop!

An Introduction to Instructional Design for eLearning (13th March)
------------------------------------------------------
Understand some of the methodologies behind effective Instructional Design, learn how to use specific and appropriate development tools and get to grip with strategies and techniques to support the iterative process of Instructional Design.  This workshop will enable developers and practitioners to effectively design, plan, implement and deliver better quality e-learning materials with high-impact results.

How to Harness & Use Online Mapping Tools (21st March)

Sophisticated online mapping tools such as Google Earth and Bing Maps have been around for some time but now social networks encourage us to share where we are and devices like smartphones automatically include location information in the media we create.  This workshop shows you how to harness these technologies and incorporate them into your own practice as well as discussing the important implications for privacy associated with using them.

Digital Storytelling (22nd March)

'Digital Storytelling' is the new buzzword for using web technologies and digital media to construct meaning around experiences in a way that can be communicated to others.  Aimed at anyone who is involved in designing learning activities for others (any level, any subject) this workshop will demonstrate, discuss and develop your skills in using different approaches to teaching and learning through Digital Storytelling.

This workshop looks at why stories are a powerful and effective way of communicating with an audience and how the technique can be used effectively for a wide range of purposes; learning, publicity and marketing, community engagement and more.
