Based at Beran Instruments Limited, Torrington, Devon, this is an exciting
opportunity to carry out pioneering research to develop intelligent health
monitoring algorithms for rotating machinery, enabling the power and
renewable sectors to minimise vibration, extend life and improve efficiency
and reliability.
Working closely with Beran and the University of Bristol, you will gain
commercial experience in developing and delivering key business projects.
You will have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar,
level 2:1 or above
- Strong programming skills including Matlab, C, C++
- Experience of applied and pure mathematics
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Drive, ambition and determination to succeed.
You will be responsible for planning, organising and coordinating trials on
turbines and other rotating machinery including wind turbines. You will
devise and develop novel vibration based analysis techniques for a wide
range of power plant and then implement these within Beran's products from
sensor to ground station.
While you will spend most of your time at Beran in North Devon, you will
also be working in close partnership with the University of Bristol's
Faculty of Engineering.
This is a two year fixed-term contract. In addition to the salary there is
a budget for personal training and development and the opportunity to
register for a higher degree.
