A Project Archivist is required by King's College London Archives & Information Management to work on the JISC-funded project, Trenches to Triples. This project aims to provide Linked Data mark-up to 200 collection level descriptions and 6000 item level catalogue entries relating to the First World War from the Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives. The post is full-time, fixed term until 31 July 2012.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, including liaising with the technical developers, managing the postgraduate researchers, organising the focus groups, creating a guidance toolkit and leading the dissemination activities of the project. They will also be responsible for undertaking the detailed analysis of World War One related catalogue entries and provide detailed World War One terminology to the UKAT thesaurus. Full training of the technical aspects of the project will be given to the successful applicant.
The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 5 scale, currently £26,004 to £30,122 plus £2,323 London Allowance per annum. The closing date is 9 March 2012.
