Dwi wrthi'n cyfieithu cod ymddygiad ar gyfer sefydliad gwaith ieuenctid. Mae
gan y cod 5 adran:
1. Occupational intervention;
2. Responsibility for young people;
3. Responsibility for colleagues;
4. Responsibility to employers;
5. Responsibility to the occupation.
Fe wnes i holi'r cleient a yw 'responsibility to' yn golygu atebolrwydd, ac
fe ges i'r ymateb canlynol:
Yes, I think 'accountability' is an appropriate term to use as an
alternative. But if there are some other alternative Welsh translations, the
only issue I
could see is the possible subtle difference in that, for a code of ethics,
the term 'responsibility' clearly places the onus on an individual for how
that individual acts. In 'accountability' could it be seen that the onus
rests with the employer to see that the individual meets their
responsibilities? The word needs to reflect the former usage.
Ydy atebolrwydd yn cyfleu hyn? Fyddai 'cyfrifoldeb at...' yn fwy addas?
