The OBERIU
Eugene Ostashevsky, a Russian-American poet and translator from New York, will discuss and read from his work on OBERIU, the underground circle of poets and philosophers in 1920s and 30s Leningrad that included Daniil Kharms and Alexander Vvedensky.
Eugene will also read his own poem Enter Morris Imposternak, Pursued by Ironies, critically acclaimed for its negotiation between, and defiance of, the Russian and American poetic traditions.
