Dear list members,
The School of Language and Communication Studies at the University of East Anglia is pleased to announce a postgraduate conference with the theme "Representations of Discourse", to be held at the University of East Anglia on Friday 8th June 2012. The theme of the conference is intentionally broad, but will be of particular interest to students pursuing postgraduate studies in translation and related disciplines.
Plenary speakers will include Dr Christopher Hart from the University of Northumbria and Prof Andreas Musolff from the University of East Anglia. The conference will end with a roundtable discussion for delegates, in which the two plenary speakers and three non-academic professionals, including professional translators, will participate and offer their diverse insights into issues which have been raised.
Papers given will be published on the conference web-page after the conference. We have also entered into discussion with a publisher regarding the possible publication of a volume of selected papers from the conference.
Please find attached the call for papers and note the deadline for receipt of abstracts for presentations and posters: Friday 23rd March 2012.
Full details can be found on the conference homepage: http://www.uea.ac.uk/lcs/eventsnews/discourse
Best wishes
