Hello Sabine,
Please check the SPM version you are using with BPM. BPM does not work well with current SPM8 releases. BPM should be run in SPM5, but can use the output images from SPM8 and/or VBM8.
If you are not using SPM8, please let me know what SPM and Matlab version you are using so that I may be of assistance.

Subject: [SPM] empty image created by BPM toolbox
Dear all,
I tried to conduct an ANCOVA with one sample of 72 particpants: fMRI contrast images as input; VBM images as covariate (GM c1-image). The analysis was completed without an error message. But the resulting output is very strange:
3 beta images, of which the second one is empty (only containing zeros). The SPM insertion tool also produces an empty image (when I try to define a contrast for the fMRI activation conrolling for GM density).
Does anybody have an idea what could be wrong?
And why are there three beta images? I would have expected only two (one for the fMRI and one for the VBM regressor).
Many thanks in advance!
Sabine
