Hi,
We use T4 Site Manager and have a dev install, this is really only used for upgrades, although we did get a copy of our content on the dev install for testing the latest version of Site Manager. Since then we've tested a couple of CMS features. We are still migrating content from our main web server and have a mirror of this content, we'll use this to test upgrades to the server, PHP etc.
We have a PC in the office with a broadband connection to test issues we may not be seeing on campus and each member of the team has a mac with VM's (Virtual Box) for each version of IE.
Cheers
Ross

This has now been taken away, although we were promised a new virtualized web development environment.
