Hi Susan
A consultancy called DVL Smith Ltd carried out research on 'Making the PG Choice' where a number of areas around prospective student choices to study PG were researched ie, reasons for choosing, or not choosing, to undertake postgraduate study, and the way decisions are made about what and where to study - This was mainly to improve the information available for students in the future.
The findings were conducted on behalf of a HEI group of 22. The findings were to provide a clear signpost as to the overall appetite for the UK market for postgraduate study, as well as to highlight potential ways for universities to maxmise the effect they can have on potential students and improve their marketing and communications. The topline findings produced a backdrop against a comparison and contrast of results from an individual university's sample research. This research took place in July 2010.

Hi Susan,
We are using Mo Gannon Research Associates for a project at present - they specialise in the agriculture/animal health sectors but I would imagine good market research is good market research at the end of the day!
Kind regards

Dear all,
Could any of you give me some insight into what research agencies you have used for carrying out quantitative market research into PGT and PGR study? For example, mode of study preferred, market saturation of particular courses etc.?
I know Euro RSGC Heist can carry this out but I am sure there are plenty of others out there. In the UG market there are plenty of sources for quantitative information but not so for PG. Unless I have missed something!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Susan Lynch
