Philosophical Perspectives in Outdoor Education

A conference bringing together perspectives from philosophers of education and educators involved in outdoor education.
This small conference will take place in Edinburgh and have a maximum of 30 participants. Keynote speakers are Professor Peter Reason on enquiry as educational practice, Dr Chris Doddington on somaesthetics and Dr Helen Lees on silence and the outdoors. The conference aims to explore new and old connections between philosophy, philosophy of education and the theory and practice of outdoor education. Short papers from participants (up to 3000) words are welcomed, but are not a condition of participation. Papers will be circulated in advance for discussion at the conference.
