There is no situation with ZFS in a meaningful way - this
project hasn't solved the licencing issue, they're ignoring
it on the (dubious) basis that they're not distributing
anything based on both GPL and CDDL code. There's no way that
a distribution could touch this with a bargepole, so it'll
never be a mainstream option unless Oracle decide that they
want ZFS as a supported fs under Unbreakable and re-licence
it, and they've shown no signs of doing that at all.
