I agree that the independence of part of the United Kingdom ought in
principle to be agreed by the whole population, not just those living
in the area wishing to secede. But if the vast majority of those in
that area wanted to secede I don't think it would be right to stop
them.
If an independent Scotland joined the EU and adopted the euro I
wouldn't be particularly worried.
But I probably have an extremely simplistic and ignorant view of the matter.
