Subject: Society and Space virtual theme issue
Environment and Planning D: Society and Space is not an open-access journal, but the editors have been trying to work with the publishers to make some material open access for limited periods. The most recent example is a 'virtual theme issue', with 12 papers from the archive and an introduction by Mary Thomas.
The inspiration is the twentieth anniversary of Rosalyn Deutsche's critique of David Harvey's The Condition of Postmodernity, and the papers chosen illustrate the work in the journal that has looked at questions of feminism, gender and sexuality. Papers include ones by Doreen Massey, Gillian Rose, Cindi Katz, Geraldine Pratt and others, including Deutsche's original piece: "Boys Town".
You can access all the papers, and read Mary's introduction here - http://societyandspace.com/2012/02/06/boys-town-redux-virtual-theme-issue/
