Dear All,
The Leicester SEG is holding the Second Annual UK SEG Student Chapter Symposium on Saturday 25th February 2012. For those of you who came last year to the Gold Symposium you'll know that it was an exciting and valuable day. This year the symposium will focus on Sustainable Exploration and Development and students will gain hands on skills and valuable knowledge of the techniques used in the mining industry.
The day will start with registration at 10.30 and will consist of two skills based workshops and talks.
Speakers include; Sarah Gordon from AngloAmerican, Jack Lunnon and Andy Rodgers from MICROMINE and Mark Davis from SRK Exploration.
It will be a great event to put on your CV, and the tools you will use are incredibly valuable and widely used in the mining industry.
The day is FREE with lunch and refreshments provided; there is an optional evening meal for £15.
To register please e-mail Hollie Warman at [log in to unmask] and leave your name, year and whether or not you would like to attend the evening meal.
There are still places left, although they are filling up fast so please register soon to avoid disapointment.
Thanks.
