Social Science, social work and community
How do issues of discourse, power and resistance impact on the physical and mental health, well-being and social care needs of individuals, communities and whole populations? What is the bearing of discourse, power and resistance on issues relating to social exclusion, diversity and disadvantage? In this stream we welcome contributions from academics and professionals – researchers, learners, teachers and practitioners - with a diverse range of backgrounds including social work, psychology and sociology, along with practitioners working in Community and Adult Education, looking at the impact of discourse, power and resistance in social science, social work and community.
