Jesse, if you don't like Aleph Null as writing, you're going to hate
http://tinyurl.com/7px46ke . This is a temporarily available PDF of Chris
Funkhouser's new book New Directions in Digital Poetry. He talks quite a bit
in this book about dbCinema, a piece of mine that's related to Aleph Null.
He also talks about another couple of pieces of mine: Arteroids, which is a
shoot-em-up poetry game--the battle of poetry against itself and the forces
of dullness--and the Stir Fry Texts. The site for the book is

This is Funkhouser's second book on digital poetry. The first is called
Prehistoric Digital Poetry (1959-1995)--An Archaeology of Forms. This is the
first book on the history of digital poetry.
Language is extrordinarily flexible as material. That whole range of
flexibility is the domain of poetry. Poetry is the only light on the full
range of language from linguistics to poetics to seed catalogues to
programming, to visual art and beyond.
