Thanks. I'll feed this back & reinforce the need for games without a
timing element. Although mum knew that really.
I didn't get chance to find out whether mum was the only fifa "expert"
in the house on a fairly hectic visit. I wonder if there's a dad who
knows more.

Barry,
There are about 5 levels of play against the computer starting at
amateur. Could choose him a top team and the computer to be a not so
great team. Barcelona v Barnsley for instance.

Thanks that's useful. Especially as he was trying to play fifa! Imho
it's too fast for his abilities, but that's something we can work on.

Hello Barry,
I think the option to reassign buttons on the xbox controller will vary
from game to game. Eg on Fifa 11 you can reassign the right side thumb
operated buttons (for passing, shooting, tackling etc) - at least by
shuffling functions around between those 4 buttons. Not sure on whether
other buttons can be reassigned (worth checking), eg one of the right
index finger buttons is usually for running faster so worth retaining.
The D pad can be used for tactics and the game can be played without it.
Perhaps pc games are generally more versatile for remapping?
Marcus.

Dear all
I'm working with a 8 year old lad with CP who has dexterity issues with
his xbox controller. A logical step would be to use an arcade stick to
give him a larger, fixed joystick & bigger, wider - spaced buttons. But
that means moving from a controller with 2 joysticks, 1 Dpad & umpteen
buttons to one with one joystick & 6(?) buttons.
Can anyone tell me whether xbox handles this sensibly?
Eg is it intelligent enough to automatically use the inputs that are
available?
Can controls be reassigned on xbox?
We don't want to go to the extent of a fully adapted controller from eg
Broadened Horizons because of his age.
