Registration for the following courses in 2012 is now open:
Consultancy Skills, 27 & 28 March, Roland Caulcutt and Julie Bullen
A highly participative two-day workshop for statisticians who wish to improve their ability to help non-statistical clients. Discussions and interactive exercises will allow participants to explore the non-statistical issues that can undermine effective consultancy.
Presenting Data, 19 April & 11 October, Ed Swires-Hennessy
This one-day course is the foundation to all presentations of statistical information. The basic principles of presenting information in tables, charts, maps and text are explained. These are illustrated and then reinforced through practical exercises.
Multilevel Modelling, 6 & 7 December, Harvey Goldstein and George Leckie
This two-day course is designed to give participants a solid grounding in the theory and application of multilevel models. The course will be based around theoretical sessions followed by “hands-on” sessions illustrating the theoretical concepts. The practical sessions will use the MLwiN software package.
