A post as biostatistician for the Cancer Research UK Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health (School of Medicine), University of Leeds, is available, based in Leeds Institute of Molecular Medicine (LIMM).
This is a new position funded by Cancer Research UK as part of the Leeds Cancer Research UK Centre Programme (a strategic partnership between Cancer Research UK, the University of Leeds, the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and cancer networks, patients and charities which promotes multidisciplinary cancer research).
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work with cancer researchers within the University and Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust to assist in the design and analysis of a wide variety of biomolecular studies.
The successful candidate will have a strong quantitative background such as an MSc or PhD in statistics or epidemiology or substantial experience in Biostatistics. The main role of the post is to support a number of projects including laboratory-based research, clinical trials or epidemiological research, all focused on cancer.
This post is fixed term with funding currently available until 31st March 2014 and will be based at St James's University Hospital. Funding beyond this date is anticipated but not yet awarded.
University Grade 7 (£30,122 - £35,938 p.a.) depending on qualifications and experience
