Hi Dawn,
I've done a few of these....and there is some helpful information on
SCONUL's Higher Education Library Technology (HELibTech) 'Discovery'
page
http://helibtech.com/Discovery
There is also a list of who has got what Discovery Service (amongst
other systems)
http://helibtech.com/HE+Systems+Review
and a list of recent discovery (and Library system) procurements
(scroil down the page)
http://helibtech.com/Procurements
Finally there is a downloadable and editable specification for a
Discovery service on the Open Specifications for Library Systems wiki
http://libtechrfp.wikispaces.com/home
Whilst the information available isn't a biz case per se there is a
lot of useful information and (articles etc on ) customer experiences
that should help you construct one. The latest edition of 'Taking
Stock' (the National Acquistions Group journal) has a couple of good
articles too.
Hope this helps. Give me a call or email if you need more...
