Hi Rich,
At Edinburgh, our Laptop fine is currently set at £6 per day overdue. Max
£50 - although I am not aware that it ever gets this far! I'm advised that a
couple of days overdue is about the most.

Dear Addy
As of now you're the first person to reply, so thanks for that. Did you cap
the fine when it got to a certain amount, and if so what was it?
Is there anyone else out there who has any opinions or advice on this issue
in general?
Regards
Rich

Dear Rich
I'll be interested in seeing responses to this post as we are looking into
ways to tightening up our laptop loan service as well.
In a previous role we fined on a minute basis, a small amount of 2p I
believe but obviously it soon racked up. This was very effective and we had
fewer fines for laptops than any other loanable material.
Kind regards
