SENIOR/PRINCIPAL STATISTICIANS (office or home based)

We are currently recruiting for Senior/Principal Statisticians to be based at our Maidenhead (phase 2-4) and Leeds site (Phase 1). As a Senior/Principal Statistician, you will be responsible for providing a statistical analysis service for Covance Phase 1-4 studies, providing advice and assistance in the design of those studies, from protocol development, through the design and implementation of the Statistical Analysis Plan, concluding with the delivery of the Clinical Study Report. You will also be involved in business development opportunities, providing (under guidance) input for the proposal and representing the department at bid-defense meetings. We are also able to consider experienced Statisticians that would like to work from home.

Who you are
To be successful within these roles you will have:
•A Masters degree or PhD in either mathematics or statistics, preferably with a strong medical statistics component.
•Typically 3.5 years’ (senior) or 5.5 years’ (principal) postgraduate experience in the application of statistics to clinical trials. Previous experience from a CRO or a pharmaceutical company is preferred.
•Interpersonal and effective communication skills. Cooperative & team-oriented.
•Self-motivation.
•Ability to work in a global team.
•Recognition of the importance of timelines within projects.
•Proficiency in data-handling and analysis software – preferably SAS.
