Hi all,
I'm just catching up on list postings from the week and this is clearly
a hot issue for the community.
Although it's not my core area, if affected colleagues would like to
unicast me with their institution name and whether they would like
to be named or anonymous, I will compile a list of institution names
with comments and send them to the Chris Young, Senior VP of the
Security Technology Group.
Any feedback already made to the list will not be included without
your permission so you don't have to take part in this exercise if
you don't want to.
I appreciate that many of you have already fed back via your regular
contact channel on the request for the feature, but I want to present a
shopping list on a plate to the leader of the business responsible
for the whole product area of the sector's current sentiment and
why this is such an issue.
I don't suppose anyone knows if the function is available in the
Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) which is the long term
replacement for ACS (and NAC)? As it's not my area I don't know
and it will save me digging if somebody knew already one way or
the other. [No need to panic though, ACS has a long life ahead of
it and is being actively developed still with v5.4 due out in April.]
Related: Chris will be in the UK for Cisco Live at eXcel from 31st
January to 2nd February and has slots available to meet customers.
If anybody is going to Cisco Live and wants to meet him to feed back
in person, please let me know ASAP and I'll send your details to his
PA looking after his diary. Related, for those not going to Cisco Live,
he will be holding an any-customer invitation-only meeting at Cisco's
London City office (Finsbury Circus) from 8:30AM to 11:30AM on Tuesday
31st. I would also need to ask the event organiser to extend an
invitation as there are a limited number of seats available.
Regards,
Paul
PS: If anybody is going to Cisco Live and wants to put a name to a face
I'll be working in the World of Solutions exhibition area on either the
Design Clinic for Wireless, or the Demonstration Area depending on
the day and time.
