Heather,
It used to be that in Blackboard for a single Turnitin class all the instructors and all the teaching assistants had access. We used this as a reason to set the de-facto that instructors were course directors and course administrator with all other academic staff requiring access as teaching assistants. Turnitin then changed it so that most other non-student roles (caveat: not actually tried them all lately) had access which was more open than I wanted really.
I have a school that is non-integrated and the single instructor per class is a right royal PITA. Although iParadigms sell the concept of master classes it really does not work for us. As for using generic accounts with multiple users, that is a total non-starter for us as it breaches all sorts of security policies and is essentially non auditable.
Peter

Subject: [VLES] Turnitin either integrated or not
Anyone using Turnitin either integrated or not with their VLE.
Can you have multiple instructors (people able to mark) on one class?
I got the impression that you could have a teaching assistant on a class (not sure if you can have more than one) that could also mark, but not lots of instructors for the same class - this was in the none integrated version. Would that be true for the integrated version or has Turnitin moved on since I last checked?
Any advice on the best foot forward with Turnitin?
We aren't currently integrated we just have a link from our VLE to the Turnitin log in page.
Thanks
Heather
