We are pleased to announce that the agenda for the March Public Sector Group meetings has now been finalised.
The Public Sector Group will be meeting on March 8th (London) and March 12th (Nottingham). The theme for the meeting is "Records Management in Troubled Times" and the meetings are being sponsored by Oyster IMS.
The morning sessions are shared between Jane Proffitt (Proffitt from Records Management) who will be talking on a number of aspects of outsourcing records management and Alison North (AN Information Ltd) who will be talking on how to decide what records should be retained when an organisation is acquired, dissolved or a building is closed. This will be followed by a case study presented by the sponsors entitled How Retention and Disposition is handled at the Bank of England. This will be presented by David Hill, Head of Knowledge at the Bank of England and Joanne Frampton, Consultant, Oyster IMS.
A sandwich lunch will be provided free of charge. This will be followed by a presentation from Cathy Williams from The National Archives on "The Record", the TNA's Olympic records programme.
The Public Sector Group is open to all members of the Information and Records Management Society and any one else who is interested. Preference will be given to IRMS members until two weeks before the event when it will be opened up to all other interested delegates. Please state if you are a member when you sign up for the day and quote your membership number. The meeting is free of charge.
