Researchers’ Engagement Project Manager

We’re looking for a Project Manager with energy and drive who can deliver a programme of work that enables Wellcome Trust researchers and research centres to engage public audiences with the nature and potential of their work.
You will shape and deliver interventions that develop an open culture of engagement amongst our researchers and strategic funding foci. You will also generate and support infrastructure and opportunities for researchers’ engagement and integration of research and engagement funding.
The role requires someone who can engage effectively with research, public engagement practitioners and public audiences and can work across the Trust’s divisions. The ideal candidate will be able to form highly effective working relationships with internal or external collaborators and Wellcome researchers, and be confident in interacting at all levels of seniority.
You will need to demonstrate:
• extensive experience of working with academic researchers and public engagement professionals to deliver effective engagement outputs
• a track-record of developing engagement culture in a relevant environment
• experience and interest in scientific research preferably biomedicine
• energy, enthusiasm and drive to deliver this challenging programme of work
• strong project management experience
• exceptional communication skills, organisational ability and a strong team-working ethic
• the ability to shape and deliver quality communications outputs and to engage our researchers effectively.
