A Maplin project box and a not-too-hot glue gun would sort out the mounting problem ;-)
As for the networking, I'm initially thinking of it as a standalone video display device, so no real need for networking. But if we needed a connection there are a few nano usb wifi dongles now that are not much bigger than the usb plug itself.
I just need to brush up on Linux now...
