Hi all,
In these lean times, we are being asked to justify our expenditure on
library resources in ever greater detail - as I am sure many of you are
- and we are looking at ways in which we can assess and present the
value of our resources beyond looking at more quantitative measures such
as cost per download etc.
Has anyone successfully determined the 'academic' value of resources,
and if so, how did you do this, and how did you present your findings?
What motivated you to undertake such an exercise? Were you driven by a
desire to assess your collections, or were you trying to persuade higher
powers to part with more money?
