Hi folks,
Forget about the gaudy artificiality of the Golden Globes and the Oscars. Here are some awards which are far more worthy of your attention!
The deadlines for the CSG IL Group awards 2012 (to be presented at the LILAC conference) are fast approaching - but there is still plenty of time to get in your nominations.
The prestigious Information Literacy Practitioner of the Year Award recognises an outstanding individual contribution by an IL practitioner. The winner will receive £500, plus a further £500 to be donated to a charity of his/her choice.
The exciting new Credo Reference Digital Award for Information Literacy recognises an innovative IL digital resource, programme or service which has made significant impact. The winning group or individual will receive £500 for personal use and £500 for their nominated charity.
Nominees from all library sectors are welcome.
Closing date: February 29th 2012. For full details of the nomination process see: http://lilacconference.com/WP/awards/
Best wishes and good luck!
