SeaZone innovates constantly its range of data products and services; re-engineering what we deliver to meet the growing demand for marine information services. This expansion into new services has created the opportunities for a talented systems analyst with 10 plus years' expertise to join the SeaZone team.
As a pre-requisite you must have strong analytical skills in spatial data processing, both from an architectural and implementation perspective. In particular we require someone who can critically appraise our existing data production systems and lead on implementing changes to improve system flexibility and operating efficiency. Direct experience of any of the following would be advantageous: GIS (ESRI, MapInfo, CadCorp), Oracle spatial, PostgresSQL and FME Server.
Working as part of the SeaZone team of Database and GIS Analysts you will have responsibility to drive improvements so it is essential that you can present arguments and recommendations for particular improvement strategies and engage others in their implementation. SeaZone Solution is part of HR Wallingford, an independent research and consultancy organisation.
We are committed to recruiting and retaining staff of the highest calibre. We offer a stimulating working environment, competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package that includes a pension scheme, flexible working hours, childcare vouchers, staff restaurant and a sports and social club.
Please send your full CV and covering letter to Sonia Tyack, Personnel Manager HR Wallingford, Howbery Park, Wallingford, Oxfordshire OX10 8BA, UK (email [log in to unmask]), clearly stating the vacancy of interest.
Closing date 31st January 2012.
