Dear colleagues,
I would like to draw your attention to my new book (discount flyer
attached):
Lutz Leisering ed. 2011
The New Regulatory State. Regulating Pensions in Germany and the UK.
Palgrave Macmillan
http://www.palgrave.com/products/title.aspx?pid=413865
The volume presents results from a major study of regulatory policies
towards private pensions in Europe, comparing a liberal welfare regime
(UK), a conservative regime (Germany) and the policies of the EU. The
authors take stock of the move towards private pensions since the 1980s,
with in-depth information on regulatory policies not available
elsewhere. Concluding chapters analyse the changes from the post-war
provider state to a new regulatory state in social welfare.
The volume promotes a dialogue between two groups of researchers not
used to talking to each other: regulation researchers and social policy
researchers.
While economists and lawyers have done some work on pension regulation,
this volume is the first to analyse regulatory pension policies from the
point of view of political science and sociology.
Best wishes
Lutz Leisering
