Subject: Responsible Reform - Disability Research and Welfare - Press Release and Report
Welfare Reform: Disability Living Allowance Research Report
Apols for cross posting - share with networks.
The attached press release has just been published alongside the full report 'Responsible Reform'. The
link to the full report can be found at http://diaryofabenefitscrounger.blogspot.com/ and it is hoped to be available from 10am today. The Guardian has a link to the report http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/jan/08/disabled-people-welfare-reform-sham
The authors of the report include Sue Marsh @suey2y aka http://diaryofabenefitscrounger.blogspot.com/ and Kaliya Franklin @bendygirl aka http://benefitscroungingscum.blogspot.com/ : they have organised for volunteers to approach their MP with the report, by email or in person, though I would think more people than have notified them are likely to be contacting MPs.
From the Press Release, Sue Marsh also urges members of the House of Lords to take on board the opposition to and concerns about reform of Disability Living Allowance revealed in their report, and Kaliya Franklin warns of knock-on impacts of the replacement of Disability Living Allowance with the Personal Independence Payment.
.... If you use twitter to follow such events as a report launch the authors recommend the hashtag #spartacusreport - the report will be shared using social media including twitter, facebook, blogging and so on.
