A Modern Approach to Meta-Analysis: 23 - 24 April 2012, at Imperial College London.
An introduction to the basic ideas of meta-analysis, including traditional methods for combining results from different studies, for both discrete and continuous measurements.
In addition, this course includes new, more efficient methods based on variance stabilisation. This unified approach leads to more accurate confidence intervals for effect sizes in both individual and combined studies. The benefits of variance stabilisation for accurate power calculations and for finding appropriate standardised effects will also be discussed. A package of R functions will be provided.
The course fee is £530. For further details please visit:
