Dear all,
First of all, a happy new year to all!
I would like to introduce Shauna Monkman to you, a colleague at Oxford Uni:
Shauna's research focuses on innovation and narrative systems - esp. how people
positively transform via story. Her work centers on analyzing
narrative systems within virtual environments. Specifically, she is
working on how patterns within these systems form - particularly
around how transformation/innovation relate to the idea of system
resilience.
She has spent over 13 years working in digital media (VP
of the Financial Times Global Online Sales, VP of Bus Development for
Centro (world's largest local publisher/ad network), and President of
her own strategic consultancy. Shauna holds an MPA from Harvard
University and is currently doing doctoral work at Oxford University
in Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology - focusing on narrative
systems of natural resources , especially water scarcity.
Shauna's e-mail is [log in to unmask], it would be great if she could be added to the network.
Best wishes,
Joost

Emne: Introducing Aylin Kunter as new Member proposed for AAcorn
Dear colleagues;
First let me wish all AACORN members and friends a wonderful, creative and exciting 2012.
Now also, by this mail I want to introduce a new member to the AAcorn band of brothers and sisters. It is Dr Aylin Kunter a Lecturer and Programme Leader at BPP College, Londonwho has an MA in Organisation Studies from the University of Warwick and PhD in visual Organisation Studies from Queen Mary, University of London.
Aylin is a very talented young scholar whose work straddles the boundaries of visual exploration, ethnographic field research, Wellbeing at Work, Spirituality at work, Visual sociology and counter-culture.
She has researched and curated exhibitions for artists like Marco Bolognesi for DarkStar at Olyvia contemporary art gallery, London and for the exhibition called 'White Heat' of artist's books at KALEID editions in East London where she commissioned and exhibited 22 examples of books, in line with the exhibition theme and presented social discourses via visual artifacts.
We are writing together and she is enlarging my understanding of visual approaches.
See links to her stuff at http://www.kaleideditions.com/eshop/what-are-artists-books/review-white-heat
and http://carolyntrantparvenu.blogspot.com/2010/05/next-exhibitions.html
I think she will bring good new things to our group and I recommend her.
Aylin's email address is [log in to unmask]
all best wishes
