As part of the White Rose ESRC Doctoral Training Centre, run jointly by the Universities of Leeds, York and Sheffield, the Institute of Communications Studies (ICS) at the University of Leeds has been allocated an ESRC Studentship. This has been advertised by the University of Leeds alongside other ESRC studentships, but details can also be found below, and on the ICS website:
http://ics.leeds.ac.uk/sub1.cfm?pbcrumb=PhD%20Scholarships
Note that the ‘1+3’ route means this could be suitable for any final year undergraduates as well as the regular +3 studentship, which would be appropriate for MA students.
So if you have any students you think might be suitable or interested, please let them know. The closing date isn’t very far away & they’d need to have submitted an application for a place (either MA and PhD, or PhD only) in ICS before applying for the scholarship.
