Lightworks 2012 is a festival of new media now in its third year organised between staff and students at Grimsby Institute. We are looking for work to show at Lightworks and have a call for entries for sound and video work.

LIGHTWORKS 2012
CALL FOR ENTRIES
Lightworks is a one-night festival of film, sound and new media that takes place in Grimsby Minster (UK) every year. The aim of Lightworks is to find new audiences for contemporary art and to provide a platform for artists working in new media.
We are now organising our third event after successful Lightworks festivals in 2010 and 2011, where we attracted large and diverse audiences.
Lightworks 2012 will take place on Friday March 16th.
Open Submission (existing work):
Video (up to three minutes)
Sound (up to three minutes)
The work chosen from open submission will be exhibited as part of short compilations on projection screens or in sound installations.
There are no recommended themes, subjects, formats or treatments.
There is no entry fee for the Open Submission opportunity.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
