Hi Barry,
I think the Kindle magazine format is nice for reading, but as with most
electronic content, the quality of the actual publication varies. Amazon
offers free trials for newspapers, so it is possible to check how they
look like before actually paying for a subscription.
If you would like to see how certain eBooks or electronic newspapers
look like on the device without buying one, you can use the Amazon PC
ebook viewers:
CloudReader: https://read.amazon.com/
Kindle PC:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=kcp_pc_mkt_lnd?docId=1000426311
Since the digital content is synchronised across all viewers, book- and
newspapers samples will be sent there, too.
However, if the online content of the newspapers is sufficient for your
clients, then ACTUALLY you don't have to pay for newspapers. There is a
nice free software alternative called calibre:
http://calibre-ebook.com/
It has a function for one-click download of an RSS feed list. Calibre
will format the articles to an eBook format, i.e. the Kindle magazine
format and directly send everything to the Kindle device via Wi-Fi using
the Kindle content e-Mail-address provided by Amazon. Calibres list of
RSS feed formatting templates is quite extensive, exceeding the
newspaper subscriptions available from Amazon.
Kind regards,
Katja
