I found any links didn't work if I exported the lo as a simple zip file but would work if you used right click. Links were ok if it was a scorm object though

Dear all
I have been using the sandpit to create an LO. However when I export it the link to any PDF document is broken.
This also occurs if the LO is exported and then uploaded again as the number of the LO changes but the original reference to the PDF remains.
Is there any way of putting in a relative link?
Also if this can be edited once downloaded do I need to do this in both the preview.xml and the template.xml. and what actions do I need to take. My intention is to upload the completed LO to a VLE
I am not a techie and would really welcome some simple instruction.
Kind Regards
