At the root of your git checkout there will be a .git directory
containing all of the revision history and git configurations. In
.git/config you will find the URL to your git remote repository. That
is what needs to be tweaked. Henry Stilmack has been ill these past
few days so won't have sorted out your ssh key issue.
In the mean time the quickest way to sort this out is to use git
format-patch and mail me that (specify the commit ID you want
exported). I can then apply it with git am. The downside is you then
need to delete that patch from your repository since it won't exist
exactly in that form once I've applied it. Normally if one knows that
one is going to use git format-patch one develops on a branch that is
deleted once the patch is accepted.
~/.gitconfig is your global overrides to specify things like your
author name and email address so that you don't need to provide it for
every git repository.
