Job Offer: Research Worker in Neuroinformatics
Applications are invited for a Research Worker in Neuroinformatics who will play a central role in neuroimaging research within the Department of Old Age Psychiatry, King's College London.
This is an exciting new post for a graduate in a quantitative subject with a strong computing component (such as Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline) to conduct data analysis and method development in neuroinformatics. The post holder will conduct and support the analysis of structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging data (fMRI and sMRI brain scans) with state-of-the-art neuroinformatics software with an emphasis on machine learning approaches, as well as maintaining locally developed software.
This exciting opportunity requires excellent communication skills and an aptitude for multidisciplinary work, interacting with mental health clinicians and other experts in neuroimaging and bioinformatics. Familiarity with at least one high-level programming language for scientific computing (such as R or MATLAB) is essential. A background in statistical learning approaches, pattern recognition or machine learning, and previous experience with software used in neuroimaging analysis are advantages, but not essential.
Candidates who would like to discuss the post further are invited to contact Dr Sergi Costafreda for an informal discussion: [log in to unmask]
