It's not too bad, I think.
I took some pictures, not too many; and there were students typing away in
the line of sight, so I tried not to disturb them.
But I'll put those shots up on the web in due course -- if they're any good.
A couple of items I'd planned didn't work in the locked cabinets that are
used and were held back -- one just couldn't see what was to be seen.
That's ok. There'll be other times.
But the department gave me more cabinets than we'd discussed. Fortunately,
I had decided to compose the whole thing there, taking alternative
displays; and so I included about 90% of what I took.
Guy Begbie came along and helped. It's his city; but he gave me a lot of
time when he could have been doing other things; and much of his advice
was very useful. He's done far more book exhibitions than I have.
We were talking about it afterwards and agreed it probably helps that
we've been working together as collaborators -- give and take, no offence
taken etc, not trying to control the other -- and maybe it helped our own
work, our process of working, to work together on demonstrating Bob's.
For anyone who *is thinking of visiting, I'm going to establish, to try to
establish, closure dates, which I can let you have
I have the weekend to finalise documentation; and then on to the next one!!
