Though thin, and in poor light, this makes it clear
what is bar and what is ground. At present,
the edge weed black is under wave; above,
white sand is now the first thing from the sea.
The dark rubble, too distant to be known
in detail, till white, which could be breaking
water, today almost continuous,
or might just be sand heaped near The Cove swell.
It is unlikely; but all of all it
is not what one expects of loose hydraulics --
The management of improbabilities
into daily dumb shows between rock lumps --
The stranding of material between ocean --
Again and again. It shows delicacy.
