HI Lynn, there are lots of monitor arms which not only move up and down but allow the screen to be moved forward as well. Just have a look around on the web and you'll find something.
I just did a quick search and found this, but no doubt there are plenty more where this comes from :-)

Have fun with this one.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] VDU - DISTANCES AND FIXTURES
Dear list
I have recently been asked by a manager to help with the re design of some office layout as part of a refurbishment project.
He wishes to implement a fixture on each desk that will mount the computer screen ,therefore making it a permanant fixture. This would mean drilling holes through the desk.Although the screen could be lowered ,raised and tilted it would not be able to be brought forward or pushed backwards. I questioned as to whether this fixture could have this adaptation as an extra . It is possible but at an additional price which the manager does not wish to spend. As a general rule I advise arms length to individuals . I have highlighted that a permanant fixture would make a workstation less 'adjustable' for other users or the individual . The manager argues that changing resolution would overcome this . I have highlighted that permanantely fixing the screens may cause individuals to adopt awkward positions to compensate difficulties and that altering resolution may not be a solution and limits options .
Any advice or experience with these permanant fixtures ?
Many thanks in advance .
Lynne
