We'd answered Bilkis around the same time earlier - I'd sent my reply before yours got as far as my Inbox.
I thought I'd seen mention from one of the main public or academic digital people about a solution - but possibly dreamed it.
I see Graham Sherwood spotted the same news item that I had about Google still trying to work out what to do. I've seen websites that ask upon entry to the site if it's ok to use cookies, but if someone says no, do they then have to ask every time that person re-visits the site, because they can't store their preference?
