Hello Britpoers,
The project mentioned below - Dusie - includes people on this list:
Christine Kennedy, Giles Goodland, me and others FYI.
How it 'functions' is that it has c 100 participants who sent an
individual chapbook to all the others so, ergo, each received 99 others
making a collection. In reality, I received 41 which illustrates that
59 had good intentions but the realism of writing, making, producing x
100 was more then they could take on. Nevertheless it was exciting to
receive almost daily, surprise packages of texts. It has had spinoffs
of readings and displays and, hopefully will be showcased at this
year's Poetry Picnic in Porlock on September 15th 2012 o which Susana
Gardner has been invited as the guest poet and other 'Dusie' poets will
participate.
Happy New Yr,

The importance of small and alternate presses continues without let-up
in the digital age. Independent publishers are more crucial now than
they were even a decade ago. Tiny, sometimes shoestring projects like
the Dusie Chapbook series are publishing more vital and interesting
work than most trade or university houses. I don’t quite understand how
the Dusie Kollectiv functions in practice, but I gather they select the
authors & give them all the freedom in the world. This makes the
resulting editions somewhat fugitive – I have no idea whether I have a
good collection, a complete collection or only the slightest taste of a
collection of the chaps.
