Hello All
We are currently reviewing our existing services to pre-entry students. We have a number of different strands of pre-entry visitors coming to the Library. I am currently focusing on materials and activities that could be used for pre-14 school pupils.
Children under 14 visit the Library as part of a series of school visits. School visits could be part of a scheduled full day organised by University Marketing and Recruitment, or, could just be one-off visits to the Library, requested by individual local schools. At the moment, we offer a general presentation and/or a general Library tour.
We are investigating whether the tour and hand-out that we currently provide could be enhanced. I am interested in finding out what materials other University Libraries provide for this age group.
If you offer tours, are they more of an interactive nature – are they designed to include more of a fun element? Are freebies provided? Depending on age, are hand-outs given out?
Any information would be appreciated
Kind Regards
