Applications are invited for the full-time post of Detector Scientist
for the Visible Instrument on the ESA Euclid dark-energy mission. The
successful candidate will be responsible for the array of 36 large area
e2v CCDs which form the heart of the instrument.
The post holder will act as Detector Scientist for the Visible
Instrument (VIS) on the Euclid mission under development for the ESA
Cosmic Vision programme. MSSL is responsible for the focal plane of 36
e2v CCDs that form the heart of the VIS instrument.
A PhD in astronomy, space science or instrumentation is essential,
ideally including experience with CCDs.
