Morning everyone,
I am looking at the new BSI standard large first aid kits
Within these kits are 'burns dressings' 10cm x 10cm.
In a previous life in OH, having worked with a first aid training organisation, we always kept first aid for burns basic..water, water and more water. No lotions/potions etc to be applied.
I have a couple of concerns namely;
1) If these dressings are kept in the kits, someone surely will try to use them despite not having been trained to do so.
2) Is there anything in these dressings that could cause a reaction?
I know ultimately, it is dependant on risk, however I just wondered what your thoughts are in relation to this or if anyone else has come acros this issue and how you got around it
Rgds
Rachael
