Dear members of the Medical Sociology News list,
You might be interested in this call for papers for the second issue of
Reset, a peer-reviewed journal for sociology on the internet (French and
English).
Full call:
http://www.recherches-internet.org/reset/RESETCFP2disorderseng.pdf
Here are some of the call's core questions in a nutshell: what does the
increasing use of the Internet do to the way individuals are labeled as
"normal", "healthy" or "ill"? What are the implications for mental
health care professionals? How do patients make use of the net? What are
the implications for the emergence of collective causes? To what extent
does the Internet contribute to confining individuals to a "sick role"?
The full call further develops these questions.
Proposals in the form of abstracts (400 words) are expected by December
31, 2011. They should be submitted to the following address:

Thank you and kind regards on the behalf of the Reset editorial board.
